Hello Everyone! I'm back! Where did I go? College..

Well, I am still here at college but I am now half way through my first semester at The University of Alabama and I am so busy I can't think straight, but I am loving it!! Before I came to school all I herd was how fun it is and "It's the best 4 years of your life" and how everyone wants to go back and do it again! Well, that all may be true but nobody told me how busy I would be and how much work it actually is! I honestly am not sure how all of us college students do this. I am mastering the art of multi-tasking like never before! I am working at a pace I did not even know normal people could function at, but somehow I get it all done and keep going! On another note, as of today I am officially a Phi Mu of the University of Alabama! After 6 weeks of wonderful pledge-ship I have finally been initiated!!! I have 84 amazing pledge sisters and I am loving every minute of being part of a sorority!  So far Freshman year has been a complete success I just wish it would slow down so I could take even more of it in! The past 3 months have been a blur so I am going to start blogging more so I don't forget a single moment of this amazing time in my life! And, I hope all of you can enjoy it along with me through my blog!

Marley

Marley is my sweet little golden retriever! Well, she is about 9 months and 50 pounds away from being little, but I love her to pieces!  She sleeps with me, runs with me, and has pretty much become my partner in everything I do.  I am going to miss her SO much when I go away to school in 2 weeks! She snuggles with me every night in bed and every morning when I wake up.  I don't know what I am going to do without my snuggle buddy, my running buddy, my coffee drinking buddy (she loves the last bit of coffee in my cup), and most recently my biking buddy! Today I experimented with putting her on her leash and biking while she runs along beside me.  And, after she got used to it, she did great!
So I decided to do a post about her before I have go off to school! I love you Marley Girl!

Layin around with Marley! I was rubbing her tummy and she just plopped down on top of me!

 Marley kisses!

I will miss my little angel cake!!!!!!!

Pure Barre

Lately I have not been feeling like working out at all and thanks to the heat wave we are having I have 0 interest in getting outside and running! Then one of my friends introduced me to Pure Barre! It is dance studio style and the workout class is a lot like pilates but there is a ballet bar and you use it for a lot of the leg exercises. I have never done anything like it before and I LOVE it!!!  You can look up Pure Barre online and find locations and see if there is one near you. It is my new obsession and I would definitely recommend it! It is really fun and a great workout!

Midnight In Paris

Last night AJ planned a little date night for us and we went to dinner, shopped, and saw the most adorable movie, Midnight In Paris, with Owen Wilson and Rachel Mcadems.  We both loved it! It was different from any other romantic comedy I've ever seen! It was smart, witty, funny, sweet, romantic, and had some good twists, and made me wish I could speak French! It was wonderful so I just had to write about it and recommend that you see it!  Enjoy!

Celebrating 3 years!

With all the craziness going on between graduation and baseball last month, Aj and I did not get a chance to celebrate our 3 year anniversary on May 19th.  In fact he was playing a in a play-off game the night of our anniversary haha so I decided now that it is all over we needed to do something really fun together!  So, I planned a date to get away for a day and go to Atlanta to the Georgia Aquarium (largest aquarium in the world), have dinner somewhere unique, and go to Stone Mountain that night to see the laser light show!  It was a perfect day and we had so much fun!
Dinner at the great little restaurant we found!

What I've Been Reading

It all started with the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer, surprisingly, I didn't like to read very much until I found these books as a 15 year old.  But, thanks to those books, I found my love for reading!

So lately...

"Water For Elephants" by Sara Gruen

If you have not read this book go buy it and read it now!  I absolutely loved it! Its funny, romantic, exciting, suspenseful, etc...! I could not put it down and was definitely worth all the late nights I stayed up reading it!! Also I suggest seeing the movie, but of course not before reading the book.  Usually I am dissappointed in movies they make after books.  However, the movie was pretty much as good as the book! I was so glad! I think it's because they followed the book so closely! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

"The Help" by Kathryn Stockett

This book surprised me by how good it is! I would highly recommend it! It is set in Jackson Mississippi and tells the story of the african american Help in white women's homes.  Its not a boring biography about racism. Its wonderful and I couldn't put in down!  Also the movie is coming out in the fall I think! It looks like it is going to be very good!

"At First Sight" by Nicholas Sparks

This is an older book that I just came across in my house and decided to read.  It was a sweet story and a good read.  I enjoyed it and would suggest it as a read maybe on a rainy day or while at the beach.  I have to say I didn't like the way it ended but thats just personal opinion.

Enjoy!

The End Of A Chapter!

Wow! The past few months have been packed full for me and it finally feels like things are going to slow down a bit! I haven't blogged in forever, but now I am ready to start getting back into it! So I am just going to recap the past few months in one post!

March, Senior Day!

The HHS baseball team celebrated their Seniors in March, and it was a bitter sweet day for the players and their families.  Everyones excited for the next Chapter in life for all of the seniors, but at the same time its sad to think they have all grown up together and played on the same team for years and its all coming to an end!  I found myself getting emotional during the ceremony, and I started thinking "why am I crying..I will still get to see AJ all the time?" But then I realized this is the end of a chapter for us.  We met in High School and life has been simple.  We saw each other everyday at school, after school, and just hung out at our parents houses watching movies on the weekend.  Now that is all going to change! I guess my feelings were bitter sweet.  I am so excited for this next step in our lives! And im even more excited about starting this new chapter together!  However, I will miss these days that mark the whole start of our relationship.  School where we met, the baseball games.., everything we have ever known is now in the past.  Im excited and nervous, but ready for everything that lies ahead!

AJ and his family! Minus his brother Steven who wasn't home yet.

April, Easter!

Easter was beautiful this year! And I had so much fun with my sweet puppy Marley, and Easter Egg hunts with the family!  AJ gets competitive no matter what were doing haha even Easter Egg Hunting and he definitely dominated running around with Olivia's girly Easter basket haha!

May, Graduation and State Champions!

Finally, AJ is joining me as an Alumni of Huntsville High! The Baseball Team went all the way in the State Playoffs and because the final games were in Montgomery on the same night as the 2011 HHS graduation, they had a separate graduation for just the baseball seniors on the baseball field before they left for Montgomery!  It was wonderful! All of our friends and family were there and it was short and sweet! Witch was the best part we were all thrilled about not having to sit through a 3 hour graduation! The players all wore there gowns and wore there baseball caps with the tassels! I loved it!  But graduating was not the thing on the players minds!  They were getting ready to go and take the State Championship!!!  We had to win 2 out of 3 games to win State. The first game we won 6-1! Then the next day we played and WON 10-2!!!!  It is the first time in HHS History, all 103 years, for the baseball team to win a State Championship! So they made history! AJ was amazing! All the seniors deserved this, and it was a wonderful thing for AJ and his brother Jordan to share this their last year on the team together! AJ's last at bat he hit a home-run!  AJ started playing for the HHS Varsity team in 8th grade, and his first at bat for the team he hit a home-run, then at his last at bat 5 years later he hit a home-run! We were all SOOO proud of him!! It was a day we will all remember forever and those boys will tell stories forever!

6A STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!!

Congratulations HHS and AJ I am so proud of you!!! That was the way to end this Chapter in our lives! Now on to whatever God has planned for us next!
